Hi,

I’m not familiar with the card in question, but usually a card’s PIN have a
corresponding PUK code that is used to unlock the PIN.

At least this is the way the MyEID cards work. You can use the OpenSC pkcs15
tools to unlock a PIN code.

Kind regards,

Toni

Subject: [opensc-devel] Locked Smart Cards

Hello,

I am using Athena ASE smart cards for Windows OS Logon which are initialized
with PKCS-15. I am using OpenSC version 12. During testing our engineers
have to sometimes have to completely erase and reinitialize a card. The
problem is that several of these smart cards are turning up with their
security officer PIN being locked due to an incorrect entry 3 times. Once
this occurs is their anyway to erase the card still?

Best Regards,
