OK. I don't run Win7 x86, only 64bit.

Can you explain why? I could not read your reference. Basically, all
32bit applications should be usable under Win7 64bit.
To make sure I understand, is Microsoft Visual Studio needed to use WIX?
What commands should be used to compile the project?
