I did find someone else who seems to have made some progress:

Although it looks like the iKey4000 comes in two flavors, one that is
CCID-compliant, and one that isn't?

04B9:1206 - no CCID, not supported
04B9:1400 - CCID, supported by libccid?

There also seems to be one commercial outfit that offers such a
driver, but I wasn't able to read their web page very well (I don't
speak Czech, and the Google translate version is only somewhat
helpful):
