In keeping with my previous post, here is a list of my current projects: 1. Improved map renderer. 2. New iENC tab for the SMED plugin. 3. S57-OSM conversion tool.
These three projects are very tightly coupled: the S57-OSM converter was written make use of the public-domain charts, both coastal (NOAA) and inland (RIS, WSV, etc). The inland data brought to light enhancements that were needed to the renderer in order properly display some iENC features. I am making good progress with the new renderer, which will also yield new possibilities for some other features, since it allows access to the full features of SVG. When this work reaches a release state, I will start work on the iENC tab in SMED to enable the editing of these features. All three projects will use common object/attribute data set, which contains the complete S57/S100 catalogues. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
