Hello, following instructions in openstreetmap.org pages i was able to create my TMS on Windows with openstreetmap tiles and the steps are:
- install PostgreSQL with PostGIS - download planet (or region) data (.osm) - use osm2pgsql to upload data into DB - download boundaries data - execute rendering - off-line with mapnik - online with (Tile-Cache or TileLite) and mapnik After doing these steps I've my TMS running (and so my tiles available). I've seen that in ".osm" data there are some "seamark" data that are not "uploaded" to DB (with osm2pgsql) and aren't rendered by mapnik. I've seen that openseamap use a two layers map (openstreetmap tiles and own openseamap tiles over). My goal is to create my own "openseamap" TMS too. Does anybody known how the "openseamap" renders the data? With similar programs and steps (I haven't found them) as with "openstreetmap" or with a different procedure (I suppose)?
