Dear Douglas,

Below a message in which there is a description of the "Merging Harbours DB
application" extracted from a thread into the

gmane.comp.gis.openseamap.devel

mailing list.

--> BEGIN OLD MESSAGE

Dear all,

I developed (a first step development) an application that should make
possible to merge harbours from different sources into only one table.

The application is at the address
http://seamark.bplaced.net/harbours/

At the moment the application shows all entries from different sources:
- Skipper Guide
- Marinas
- World Port Index
- OSM harbours
- OSM leisure marinas

Clicking on one of the icon a popup will show details about the item.

The next step (I should start to work on it in the next weeks) is to
develop a merging system for which is possible to select one or more of
the entries and enter a new name and position for them and populate a
new table containing all the result entries.

Let me know if you find any problem or if you have any suggestion of
improvement.

Mario Danelli

<-- END OLD MESSAGE

I hope this is useful for you

Best Regards

Mario Danelli
