No surprise, Allen hasn't submitted his latest changes yet. ;) This time 
we wanted to give warning before submitting things...

Can't think of anything, but we would like to remove confusion on the 
people that download it and don't know which one to use. It would also 
cut down on the code that needs to be maintained (admitted, the build 
system is not a high-maintenance part), and it would get more 
development muscle behind the scons build... ;)

The only real problem is that we have a different lex file (to access 
our private copy of FlexLexer.h), so changes to that would need to be 
reflected.

Nonetheless, cleaning up is a Good Thing (TM)!
