no, the whole thing works a bit different now, so I make sure to write a
container just once somewhere else. Basically this is done during
"preWrite" which roughly is similar to your getFCCount. It seems that
during the actual write I do not need to distinguish between "pointer
fields" and "data fields", but can use copyToBin for both.
