It's another day, and I have another question about OpenSG. The current target deployment for the vPresent software I am working on is a planetarium that projects content onto a dome. A cluster is used for this purpose, and I need to figure out how to configure OpenSG 2 for this use case. So far, what I have seen in the documentation and the tutorials is for tiled windows on a single wall, but I need more flexibility than that. Has anyone used OpenSG 1.x or 2 on a cluster driving a CAVE or other multi-wall projection system, or is it necessary to extend OpenSG to support what I need?
If extensions to OpenSG are needed, are there already goals, hopes, or plans for how this sort of thing should work? I have not looked at the implementation of OSG::MultiDisplayWindow in detail yet, but that seems like the logical starting point. I am certainly open to suggestions on this. My goals are to get vPresent working on the dome and to improve OpenSG 2 in any way that I can in the process. -Patrick -- Patrick L.
