That would simplify things, but there are probably some people out there
who wouldn't mind something that doesn't quite compile.

P.S.: Note that just because Andreas submitted some manipulators, the
discussion is far from over and the topic is not dead at all. These are
not the be-all, end-all manipulators for OpenSG, see them rather as an
example of how they could be implemented and a stop-gap measure for
people who desperately need manipulators right now. They're much too
simple to satisfy everybody (or anybody, really ;).
