if you can afford it the Intel compiler produces better code than the
Microsoft one, and also supports the C++ standard quite a bit better.
You can use 7.1, too, it is supported, we just don't have a dailybuild
for it yet.
Note that it is just a compiler that plugs into Visual Studio, it is not
a complete IDE. So the GUI is the same as the Microsoft one, it just
compiles better. ;)
