Not that I know of.

osgInit doesn't do much, it mainly depends on the static initialization
of the loaded dll/so. Is there any chance to find out where it crashes?
Maybe you can try setting OSG_LOG_LEVEL to debug, in that case osgInit
will output some info about what's happening.
