Hi Patrik,

sounds interesting, well I'm not really a nurbs expert did you look into the test programs in OpenSG/Source/System/NodeCores/Drawables/Nurbs?

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I've started using Nurbs for my CAD formats. Can I use it also for Splines?
At the moment I traignulate the CAD surfaces - but how can I add single
curves?

Patrik

Hi Patrik,

in the next "unstable" release we are going to add some changes to the core
this includes also some minor api changes. We also want to get rid of the
begin/endEdit's :-) There is also a new Geometry node in the pipeline. In
the 1.4.0 release we already added some OpenSGPlus extensions (Volume
rendering, Nurbs see the OpenSG/CHANGELOG file for a complete list)
hopefully the rest is integrated in 1.5.0.

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

nice to hear for a new stable release. Just some questions:
- does a roadmap for further development exists?
- what about some OpenSGPlus extensions? Will they be integrated in a further release?

It's sometimes not so easy following the implementation changes if people aren't from the core development team.

Greets,

Patrik

Hi folks,

a long-awaited OpenSG release with many new features and bug fixes is expected to be released very soon. Pre-release versions for testing are available on the dailybuild page
(http://www.opensg.org/dailybuild_logs/index.EN.html)

Happy testing,
