Hello Jacques-Andre,

please have a look into the doxygen documentation in the following header file, there is a small example how to create 3D text geometries:

OpenSG/Source/System/Text/OSGTextVectorFace.h

I'm sorry, but there is currently no better documentation - I'll write some documentation when I have some more time...

Bye,

Patrick

Dirk,

Thanks for you advices. Could you please suggest me a way to learn
how to use the basic text library? I can look into the files but
since I'm not really an expert with OpenSG...

Hi,

Somebody knows a good 3D text library that I could use with
OpenSG 1.4 and VRJuggler Beta 2.0? I'm working on Windows
XP with Visual Studio .NET 2003.

OpenSG has a basic text library built in, which can create standard
Geometry to render based on different ways to represent text, see
Source/System/Text for that. There are also some example nodes based on
FTGL in Source/Contrib/FTGLText. Both of these should work fine on
Windows, FTGL needs Freetype 2 though.

Hope it helps

        Dirk
