Hi,

I haven't found time to try OpenSG with the 8.1 on windows in depth. I
tried it shortly and remember there where some changes to be made (I'll
try to dig them up). But there was one key problem which I did not find
a good solution for, at least not for the compiler version I was using
at that time. The resulting libraries had troubles exporting compiler
generated symbols in order to handle virtual functions correctly if
the derived class was contained in a different dll than the base class.
This resulted in some interesting link errors. So I'm not quite sure if
OpenSG is working with this compiler right now. If you have a little bit
time I can retry and see if I get a running version.

I would be very grateful if you did. I have a month left till deadline, but i can do other things in the meantime. Another thing: if i use a cygwin compiled version, are there any changes to the requirements of my program, i.e. do i need the cygwin.dll or anything or is using cygwin just for having autotool's support ?

Thanks,
Tobias

regards,
 gerrit
