Hi,

I so far do not use it, so no problem ;-)

But I would like to see the functions addRefCP/subRefCP with old style Ptrs
still in 2.0 and a querying function for the Ref Count added for debugging.
This will not hurt the RefPtr<> users and I cannot follow your concerns
about querying the Ref Count.

Regards,
Christoph

        Hi everybody,

in the process of cleaning up things for 2.0 we've also been looking
into other systems, and everybody else (i.e. boost ;) uses the actual
object instead of the pointer as the template argument to the RefPtr
class.

How many people are using RefPtr<>'s, and and would it be a problem to
change the semantics? I think you can cover most cases with a simple
regexp, but I'm not sure what complicated constructs people use
internally.

Yours

        Dirk
