for testing you can probably change a tutorial to that in a couple
minutes.
The real solution would be for the sceneviewer to have more interaction
potential to allow changing things. The problem is where to stop, and I
don't have a good answer for that.
If you just want to have a running program to look at files, you can
always use VRED (www.vred.org).
