I see the widget with the torus in the qt4 designer. It was kinda painful to port it because moc behaves differntly and the plugin interface changed (and the general widget constructors...). I´m sorry I can´t provide good code because it´s partly "manually" compiled. I couldn´t figure out where OpenSG (using VSNet2003) places its moc commands.....
