Hi Patrick,
if I understand you right you just need to create an ExternalThread,
which essentially makes your new thread known to OpenSG. That thread can
use whichever aspect it wants, and it should work just fine using
standard OpenSG synchronisation.
AFAIR the OpenSG port in Juggler does that anyway, as Juggler is
creating all the threads. Just look at the OpenSGApp and grep for
ExternalThread.
