Dear OpenSG Users,
I am thinking about using OpenSG on an AMD Opteron or Intel Xeon based
workstation with NVidia QuadroFX 4500 board (may be two of them). I would like
to run this on one hand with Windows XP 64-bit and on the other hand with
Linux. Is somebody doing this already? Any experiences? Here my (possibly
naive) questions:
running the 32bit compiled version on xp64 works fine. Well compiling a
64bit version is not so easy I did it once with the visual studio 2005
beta compiler but this needed some build system hacking.
-Are there any issues with this configuration under windows? Can I use the
precompiled releases together with MS Visual Studio 2003.
yes if you download the .net2003 version this should work, but I never
tried to install vs 2003 on xp64.
-Same question for Linux ...
running and compiling the 32bit (if you install the 32bit libs) and
64bit version works out of the box.

Would be very nice to hear from you as I am afraid that there are a lot of
potential pitfalls.
