No, the SSF automatically positions the text itself. It's called simple
for a reason. ;)

The SSF is really not for positional text. You will probably have to use
the Text functions to create a text geometry, or use the Contrib/FTGL
one, but compiling that on Windows is a little painful.
How much text do you need?
