for the -j part, could you try
setenv OSGSUBPARJOBS 2; make
apart from not using (t)csh, (so using something like:
``export OSGSUBPARJOBS=2; time make opt; time make dbg'')
this worked perfectly, thanks! Maybe this option should be better
documented somewhere. :-)
using -j 2 on the top level directory might result in the problem you
see, my guess would be that the system lib is still building while
you start to build dependent stuff (WindowGLUTLib).
Indeed, probably that was the problem.
