somebody did a bad cut&paste job. Could you check your GL includes
if this symbol occurs somewhere. NVidia for example provides the symbol
under some conditions. So does glew. Usually there should not be a 
problem as all the typedefs should be identical. Without seeing what
defines the symbol on Solaris2.10 it is hard to tell where the 
difference is. Do you by any chance use the nvidia solaris drivers ?
