I just realized that this is probably a bad example for comparison. As
there is no fixed definition on how to tesselate spheres coming from
VRML, the OpenSG model is probably very different from the Optimizer
model.

Hm. Andreas, Matthias, can you only read or also write .csb models? Even
if, would you be willing to convert a couple test models from .csb
to .osb for us?

In that case Praveen, if you can find a test model that is close to what
your customers are interested in that you can load into Optimizer, we
might be able to just convert it to osb for testing.

Alternatively you can maybe try
http://www.hlrs.de/people/aumueller/ply2vrml97/ to convert some of the
Stanford (or other) PLY models to VRML.
