Yes, the warning is totally ignorable. We've been running with it disabled for over a year now. :)
You need not bother with precompile headers either. It isn't necessary. It just makes it easier. They're pretty easy to set up if you use isual Studio though, so look it up on the net if compilation times becomes a problem.
