What papers? Authors? Are there any other open source projects than these: http://sourceforge.net/projects/opentreelib http://sourceforge.net/projects/arbaro http://members.chello.nl/~l.vandenheuvel2/TReal/ I have collected papers on foliage generation and rendering. Also an academic software exists but they are not available for us -- I have requested. Could we thinker this together and come up with a project plan? For some reason I don't have access to eurographics papers at all. How an european graphics organization is in such a bad position here at Finnish universities compared to other organizations? Too pricey? $100+ per journal issue? Way too much. Anyway, if somebody has written a foliage paper for Eurographics please pass a private copy to me. I cannot afford to buy them. The game In Crysis by CryTek has also very good foliage. It is at the moment best I have seen, but I'm sure SpeedTree is improving. Quake people have also foliage in their Quake Wars but I have not been impressed of what I have seen.
