Dirk:

Would it be helpful to get some feedback on the ideas you are trying 
out?  For example would it be helpful to put up a wiki page with the 
proposed interfaces and ask people to comment?

One area I am very interested in is the overlap between OpenSG smart 
pointers (FCPtrs) and memory management pointers (RefPtrs).  I am very 
interested to see how you are going to deal with these two areas 
internally and externally.
