I don't quite understand what changing /etc/hosts on the machine will
do. It appears that the vrsource.org IP address has not been updated
or, for some reason, has not propagated:

aarg, ok I missed these multiple interpretations, 'your hostfile'
should actually refer to the users hostfile. So I changed my one on my
machine and anybody else would have to change theirs on their machine in
order to access the OpenSG web/svn servers.

It had nothing to do with the host file on the actual server ;-)

Things appear to be back in working with opensg.vrsource.org and other vrsource.org DNS entries.
