We invite you to participate in the ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST) 2008 in Bordeaux, France.

ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST) is an international forum for the exchange of experience and knowledge among researchers and developers concerned with virtual reality software and technology. VRST 2008 will provide an opportunity for VR researchers to interact, share new results, show live demonstrations of their work, and discuss emerging directions for the field.

*Short papers due:  June 4, 2008
*Notification of acceptance: July 8, 2008
Demos and posters due: July 13, 2008
Conference dates: October 27-29, 2008

*Call for Short Papers *

ACM VRST 2008 seeks original, unpublished papers documenting original research contributions, practice and experience, or novel applications, from all areas of virtual, mixed and augmented reality.

Authors are required to submit fully formatted papers, with graphs, images, and other special areas arranged as intended for final publication. The ACM SIGGRAPH paper preparation guidelines are described at http://www.siggraph.org/publications/instructions. The maximum length for a short paper submission is 4 pages. Reviewers will be instructed to weigh the contribution of a paper relative to its length.

Submissions may be optionally accompanied by additional materials such as images, videos, or electronic documents. These materials do not form a part of the official submission and will be viewed only at the discretion of the reviewers.

VRST 2008 will be held in Bordeaux, an 18th century architectural gem which has been officially included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. Bordeaux is surrounded by the famous wine areas. It is also very close to the charming Atlantic west coast.
