yes, that is probably a good idea to avoid confusion where the 
"official" OpenSG repository is.

if we go from svn -> git it should be possible to do with a post commit 
hook in svn as well. For starters the cron job is probably good enough 
as well though.

well, if it has to be done manually I can do it while in Germany (28.08 
- 13.09).

that is not so nice. How much space do you get from sites.google.com?
