This has lead into the right direction. Actually I do have a problem with my
OpenEXR ilmifm lib which I have build as a dynamic link library.
Unfortunately the library does not correctly export its symbols. I didn't
solve this problem yet, but I'm quite confident that this is the origin of
the image library loading problem.
