hmm, I'd be surprised if that is the cause for the linker error you are
seeing (if you had a problem at the compile stage a version mismatch
would be more likely, I think).

Off hand I don't have a very good idea, but perhaps the following allows
us to understand the problem better:
Can you send the output of running 'make VERBOSE=1' (only the output for
the failing link step is necessary)? It will print the commands invoked
by make, that way we can have a look at the linker invocation. Thanks!
