some quick questions: are you using a CVS checkout? It is highly recommended that you do, other sources are very behind on bug and build fixes. The project files were only updated for releases, not the daily tar balls or other intermediate sources, please use scons to build: http://www.opensg.org/projects/opensg/wiki/BuildVSScons.
