Progams crashes to desktop on save

Bug description:
As I save the project it crashes to desktop. Composed of 142 .avi
files totalling 151 minutes Has 13 tracks of which i have split these
files under the sections accordingly. If I try and save the project
under the default settings it crashes to desktop. This happens no
matter where I save the file.
Once I return to the program it has no record of the files I wished to
save and requires restarting the project from the beginning.
I am running Linux Mint 10 (Julia), 2.6.25-generic kernel, Gnome
2.32.0 on a toshiba equim A100 latop
