EDL would be best for lossless workflow in professional world. Every project won't be always rendering out Sequences or Uncompressed AVI/MOVs. EDL/AAF is old form of transferring from one workstation to others. I don't know how it isn't in Top priority list. Even Cinelerra has EDL output. If it is amature audience the openshot is targetting then its enough, but from professional point of this is a major feature.
