** Summary changed: - Preference window should not be modal (i.e. block the main window) + Preference window should not be modal (i.e. not block the main window) ** Changed in: openshot Importance: Wishlist => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenShot Bugs, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/642876 Title: Preference window should not be modal (i.e. not block the main window) Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Fix Committed Bug description: When opening a form above the main UI Window (or any other window related to OpenShot) and click on the window under it, it will lose focus. This shouldn't be the case. E.g. Select menu "Edit > Preferences". The "OpenShot Preferences" form will popup. If you click to the window under it, Preferences window will lose focus. The selected window isn't usable, no control works. In order to return to the Preferences form you should press "Alt+Tab" or select it from the task bar, witch in my opinion should be there either. It also happens when an error message pops. I don't know if this is a limitation of Python.
