I think the break-down for both bugs is when saving using "Other..." So Openshot will show a standard list of places to save the video (Videos folder, Desktop, etc). Saving to those seem OK. When selecting "Other...", Openshot seems to ignore it.
Here's a video demonstrating saving it to the Desktop and to my Video folder from the default list, and then trying to save it using "Other..." to a new directory. Start OSVE, load video tracks. 2. Click on save button, enter name, select video type, select desired target directory. Click save button. 3. Look in to that directory. Do you see project file? I didn't, but found it in in my home (which is the defaultdir to OSVE). 4 Try to save as, select the the same target directory (=repeat it). OSVE reports "File already exists" - but in the default (home), not in selected dir. The result - I was not able to save project in another dir than my home dir (= default dir).
