Hmm - now it works for me. Maybe this was a high load glitch. Seems a bit strange to me because I could reproduce the behavior but now it's gone.

When I drag an imported audio file (wav format) to the track and duplicate it (because I want it to be played multiple times) one can only hear the first sound on preview. If I drag the second occurence for the sound from the import window instead of duplicating the existing track it works fine. I could reproduce the behavior and audio was activated when I checked the clips' properties. The audio file is attached to this bug report.
