Not sure what version of MLT you have but 0.8.2 fixed a big memory leak. You should use either 0.8.2 or 0.8.8.

The more I play them, the more memory is used. I see in HTOP that it's exactly OpenShot's memory, not OS file caching. After 30-60 minutes, my computer becomes unusable, I have to close and restart OpenShot. Fortunately, this cures the issue, but it's very inconvenient.
