Also, here is the script that I currently use to modify MainGTK.py If you apply my suggestion of adding lines for "master_fade" speeds, then it'll be even easier for the script to check the current default fade speeds in MainGTK.py and then adjust them according to the inputted values.
I'm sure there is a much smarter way of doing this, but it's the best I can do. I hope this helps though. ** Attachment added: "preferences, maingtk.py, fade, speed, toggle" https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/1131195/+attachment/3539993/+files/modify_openshot_fade_time.py -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenShot Bugs, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1131195 Title: Feature Request: Master Fade Speed Toggle Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New Bug description: OS: Ubuntu 12.04 Openshot Version 1.4.3 I should like to request a toggle in the Preferences for the default fade in/out speeds. Whenever I install Openshot I go to MainGTK.py and change the default fade in/out speeds to 1.0 (fast) and 2.0 (slow). It's not a big deal for me to jump in there when I need to, but I think it would be really handy to have a toggle in the Preferences. Please refer to the attached ZIP file which contains a sample of what the source code might look like -- it's very simple, but I'm not really a programmer -- and a screenshot of a mock-up of the Preferences window.
