This behaviour occurs with File -> Save Project As, and File -> Export Video.

I changed the default output directory from Desktop to /my/video/edit/. After 20 minutes the export window went away, but the file is not found in either /my/video/edit/ or Desktop. I've checked /my/video as well. I'm using OpenShot 1.4.3 with Linux Mint 13.
