What do you use ? FFmpeg or Avconv/LibAv ? If it is the second solution, remove Avconv/Libav, (its will remove all applicaitons using this one like Openshot) add this PPA () https://launchpad.net/~jon-severinsson/+archive/ffmpeg and install FFmpeg following this thread ( http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1261).
