I've faced the same trouble on a fresh install of Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 64bits on Asus S300 (Core i3 & touch screen).
As soon as I launch OpenShot (version from the official repo), the mouse cursor disappear after few seconds. Only way to get it back is to reboot. It seems linked to this bug : https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=694758 So, there is a simple way to avoid it : just throw this command once : # gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.cursor active false After next reboot, it should be part of the past. Hope it helps. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #694758 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=694758 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenShot Bugs, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1253145 Title: Mouse pointer Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New Bug description: while I'm working with my videos, following few clicks, I'm not able to see the mouse pointer any more.
