I've just had this problem too. The original videos were 990x556 and the quality was good. I exported the project in openshot to 1024x576. The image quality of the generated video was horrible. The same happens using HD 720p. Changing the quality from medium to high doesn't make any difference.
It seems openshot upscales the image very bad. I couldn't find in the preferences any option to change the scale method. There's one to use a smooth scale, but again no difference. The only way I found to fix the issue was to scale first the original videos to 1024x576 using mencoder. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenShot Bugs, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1044916 Title: very bad quality after export video Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Expired Bug description: Hello, i am using ubuntu 12.04 openshot v1.4.0 and it run very good and work without problem just one problem i have is with exporting, after exporting video the quality is too bad, actually very very bad quality :( thanks. --------------------------------------------- First one: i take it before exporting video Second one: i take it after exporting video there is huge difference between both of them First one: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?q2d1363n8q6u266 Seconde one: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?97wbypodd4ggdjw To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/1044916/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~openshot.bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~openshot.bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
