sorry to take a month to get back on this, but sometimes that's life...it turned out that one of the jpeg files was corrupted, and when i removed it, the video rendered, except that greens in the video became red, and vice-versa. I started another thread about that.

It's about an eight minute video. It is not unusual to have Open Shot crash, but this crash makes it impossible to export a video, which is very annoying! Not sure if I'm 64 or 32 bit.
