Architecture: 64 bit OS=Linux Mint 14 KDE Ed. , 64-bit, running natively, not virtually. Installation Method: thru Mint's package manager Version of OPENSHOT = 1.4.3
1--the openshot doc package IS installed. 2--YELP is installed. 3--using Yelp in the terminal window, with the following syntax: "yelp /usr/share/gnome/help/openshot/C/openshot.xml" works PERFECTLY. The file is found and Help works perfectly. 4--It will not, however, work within the program. Can someone please solve this? Installation Method: thru Mint's package manager Version of OPENSHOT = 1.4.0 BZR/MLT/FFmpeg/FFmpeg installation: all unknown, but not affected by this bug. This problem has been discussed on numerous Linux boards and blogs. The problem itself is very simple: When in Openshot and you select F1 for help, or use the 'Help, Contents' menu, help will not open and you receive a dialogue: "Unable to open the help contents. Please ensure the openshot-doc package is installed". I've seen this issue on forums / blogs / help desks for over a year. Is there a solution to this?
