Have you got the Karmic only PPA enabled (as you seem to have got the PPA packages installed)? If you have got that installed over the top of a previous installation via the .debs then that may well cause a problem.
You could try removing the PPA installation and then try running Openshot again, or you may even need to remove the .deb installed version as well. It's difficult to say for sure, as I run Openshot in an unusual way - I get the latest branch and run it in my development environment, having previously installed the dependencies (although I can't seem to find any trace of ffmpeg on my system, but it must be there somewhere). -- Slow playback https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/492701 You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenShot Developers, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New Bug description: I installed openshot-mlt 0.9.54 from the Debian packages on 64 bit AMD Jaunty 9.04. If I preview or play, the playback starts with a normal speed playback for about a second and then it starts to creep extremely slowly from then on. The audio also starts to get glitchy. This happens when previewing and playback for any video or audio, I tried different formats, and they all seem to have the exact same behavior. Totem plays video normally without any problem so I think the problem might be openshot. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~openshot.developers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~openshot.developers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
