Yes, I removed both the Karmic PPA and the MLT PPA. I also uninstalled all the MLT related stuff and redownloaded all the debian packages for openshot-mlt again.
I reinstalled: openshot.deb openshot-ffmpeg_git-2623d8f-1_amd64.deb openshot-frei0r_1.1.22-1_amd64.deb openshot-mlt_0.4.3-1_amd64.deb openshot-x264_0.67.1173-1_amd64.deb I still have the exact same slow playback/stuttering problem. If I preview or play, the playback starts with a normal speed playback for about a second and then it starts to creep extremely slowly from then on. The audio also starts to get glitchy. This happens when previewing and playback for any video or audio, I tried different formats, and they all seem to have the exact same behavior.
