In general, I would prefer shorter development cycles. I was thinking between 6 and 8 week long cycles, where at the end we would make an official release. However, I'm hoping to be able to deliver updates to the PPA weekly (or bi-weekly).
One more thing I forgot to mention in my previous email. After we are done with a series (such as the 1.0 series), I am going to branch the trunk, and name it after the series. So, you might have noticed that the 1.0 series is now linked to the lp:openshot/1.0 branch. That leaves the option of fix bugs on the 1.0 branch (if absolutely necessary). But in general, we will always be working on the main trunk.
