This was a tough one to figure out. It did not make sense to me why it
would freeze the play-head. However, I moved some code around, and re-
factored the "open project" code to be simpler, and it now works. =)
Hopefully we'll get this bug fix deployed soon.

Bug description:
I created a project about 30 min long, then saved it. After I loaded later the
saved project, everything was OK, except for the slider on the timeline, which
does not move forwards during previewing the video. If I click on the timeline,
the slider also doesn't show there, as it did before (or in a new project). It
moves only if I drag it with mouse.
